The Center for Church Management fosters relationships and conducts analysis on the deepest needs in the church to offer a wide variety of general, specialized or partner-based programs to support church management education and research.

The Center for Church Management offers a Certificate Program in a webinar series. Twelve live, online seminars provide a high-level overview of church management for busy pastors, priests, business managers and other church administrators.

Qualified church ministers and employees can benefit from $600 scholarships, made possible by a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment鈥檚 National Initiative to Address Economic Challenges Facing Pastoral Leaders.

The Certificate in Catholic School Management is a unique program designed to enhance management skills and deepen the spirit of leadership of principals, administrators, and rising leaders.
To earn the Certificate in Catholic School Management, participants must complete the 12 self-paced, asynchronous modules. Module topics range from strategic planning, financial reporting, and facilities to marketing, tuition planning, and advancement. Quarterly webinars to process learning with one鈥檚 cohort are voluntary but recommended. Participants are expected to complete the program within 12 months of starting their first module.
The tools and knowledge presented in the program will be of great value to school leaders and will better enable them to achieve the mission of Jesus Christ through their schools. This program was developed through a generous grant from the Ambassador鈥檚 Fund for Catholic Education.

This one-week intensive course offers a curriculum designed specifically for Catholic men in formation. Coursework covers the fundamentals of church management, addressing both money and people, with current research, real-life case studies, group projects, and interactive class discussions. This residency course is offered in July on Villanova鈥檚 beautiful campus, bringing together men in formation from across the country to share fellowship, worship, meals, and learning.
Key information:
- This program is intended for Catholic men in priestly formation or recently ordained. Registration is open to men who have finished at least two years of theology studies through those ordained for 5 years.
- This non-credit certificate is a one-week (Monday through Friday) immersive on-campus experience held in July.
- Registration opens on January 5, the Feast of Saint John Neumann, and closes on June 24, the Feast of Saint John the Baptist.
DIOCESAN FISCAL MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE
Since 2017, the Center for Church Management has partnered with the Diocesan Fiscal Management Conference (DFMC) to educate church financial administrators as they foster better stewardship of resources. The Center assists with continuing education for DFMC members and the creation, maintenance and administration of the Certified Diocesan Fiscal Manager (CDFM) Exam.
